Year in Review: How CPhA worked for you in 2023
Take a walk down memory lane with us to look back at the progress we’ve made this year, both as an association and a profession. Many thanks to each and every member of the pharmacy community for your ongoing partnership and dedication.
Express Scripts service fee update
CPhA is strongly opposed to the implementation of the new service fees recently announced by Express Scripts Canada. Watch our website for updated information on our advocacy efforts and a recording of our recent information session.
Shortage update: Ozempic and other GLP-1 agonists
Due to the impact of the ongoing Ozempic shortage, a number of alternative GLP-1 agonists are now in short supply. CPhA has updated our Ozempic/GLP-1 shortage page with the latest shortage information, including updated resources to assist pharmacy professionals with alternative therapies.
IDEA Initiative
CPhA’s IDEA Initiative brings together a collection of tools, resources and information focused on fostering inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility (IDEA). Together we can shape a more progressive and compassionate pharmacy world that celebrates diversity and empowers every pharmacist to thrive.
Black Pharmacy Professionals of Canada: Free membership until December 31
A group of Black pharmacy professionals from across Canada have come together to create the Black Pharmacy Professionals of Canada (BPPC), a non-profit organization that aims to lead with excellence and promote equity in practice for Black pharmacy professionals and patients. Their mission is to provide an empowering environment for members to grow through leadership and mentorship. Membership is open to Black pharmacy professionals in Canada and free until December 31, 2023.
Webinar recordings available
In case you missed them, recordings for our two recent practice development webinars, Managing acute pain in the pharmacy setting and Climate change and pharmacy practice, are now available on our website.
Sexual and Reproductive Health Toolkit
Have you had a chance to check out our new Sexual and Reproductive Health Toolkit? Developed to easily integrate into practice, this new collection of resources will help you provide medication abortion and contraception services in your pharmacy. Watch our video to learn more about the toolkit, and meet Enav Zusman, a pharmacist and researcher with a passion for making reproductive health care available and accessible to all.
