CPhA’s IDEA Initiative brings together a collection of tools, resources and information focused on fostering inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility (IDEA). While all of CPhA’s efforts are developed and reviewed with diversity in mind, our IDEA Initiative serves as a dedicated platform to concentrate additional attention on targeted activities. Together we can shape a more progressive and compassionate pharmacy world that celebrates diversity and empowers every pharmacist to thrive.

Over the past several years, CPhA has developed and fostered a range of DEI initiatives and resources that will be collated and expanded under the IDEA Initiative banner, including:

A series of empowerment panels designed to explore Inclusion, Diversity and Accessibility (IDEA) within the profession of pharmacy and to give voice to those who need to be heard.

An overview of the extensive review of all our clinical content to identify, assess and address instances of bias, racism and discrimination.

A series of resource collections focused on a range of clinical areas and patient populations to provide tools and resources to support your practice.

An Indigenous-led association established to connect and support Indigenous pharmacy professionals and enhance care for Indigenous communities.

CPhA’s association-wide commitment to breaking down barriers and driving change on issues of diversity and inclusion.

An intentional plan outlining CPhA’s specific and meaningful actions toward Indigenous reconciliation.
