Jeanette MacQueen represents the Prince Edward Island Pharmacists Association (PEIPhA) on the CPhA Board of Directors. She received her Bachelor of Science from UPEI with Honours in Biology (2002) and her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Dalhousie University (2006). Recently, she graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy-Honours from the University of Toronto (2024).
She has worked in numerous practice settings in both hospital and community, including roles at IWK Children’s Hospital in Halifax and managing Sobeys Pharmacy in Summerside, PE. She is currently a clinical pharmacist with Health PEI, specializing in ICU Critical Care.
Jeanette is a member of several professional organizations, including the PEI Pharmacists Association Executive, working in areas of Governance and Pharmacy Awareness Month, and the PEI chapter of the Canadian Society of Health-Systems Pharmacy. She has given many presentations to the community regarding pharmacy awareness and the importance of pharmacy. Jeanette grew up in PEI and continues to make her home on the Island with her husband, Nick, son, Hayden, and cat, Jessie.
