Laurie J. Deal represents the Pharmacy Association of Nova Scotia (PANS) on the CPhA board of directors. She is a 2007 graduate from the College of Pharmacy program at Dalhousie University, a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) and is currently completing a Master of Business Administration degree specializing in Leadership at Dalhousie University. Laurie’s career has spanned 2 Canadian provinces/jurisdictions in both hospital and community pharmacy settings, including nearly a decade of management roles. She has a proven leadership record that exhibits administrative qualities and pharmaceutical expertise, which she tirelessly seeks to employ in her new role as Director of Pharmacy Services at PharmaChoice Canada. Beyond health care, Laurie is a caring individual who contributes to the greater community through active membership and volunteerism within local faith-based organizations. Laurie is the Chair of the PANS board of directors and has previously served on numerous committees. She is also an active participant in the Dalhousie College of Pharmacy Preceptor Education Program, mentoring the next generation of pharmacists.
