Dimitris Polygenis

Dimitris Polygenis joined the CPhA Board of Directors in June 2025 as an Individual Director and serves as Chair of the CPhA National Pharmacy Business Council (NPBC), which addresses the unique business, economic and operational issues of pharmacy practice in Canada.

A pharmacist by training, Dimitris is a recognized strategic business leader and “disruptor” committed to improving access to health care and advancing the business of pharmacy. As President of McKesson Canada, he leads the organization’s portfolio of businesses, including pharmaceutical distribution, Specialty Health and McKesson’s national network of independent pharmacies—I.D.A., Guardian, Remedy’sRx, The Medicine Shoppe, Uniprix and Proxim.

Dimitris joined McKesson Canada in 2005 through the acquisition of Phase 4 Health, a specialty services company he helped build and grow, leading to the creation of McKesson Specialty Health—now Canada’s largest specialty services provider. Over the past two decades, he has held executive leadership roles across McKesson’s Canadian operations, driving transformational growth and fostering high-performing teams.

He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Toronto and has served on numerous boards and advisory councils, including the University of Toronto and University of British Columbia Pharmacy Programs, the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management (as Chair) and the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada.
