New federal funding to support primary care training for pharmacists
On June 8, the federal government announced $45.3 million to support the Team Primary Care: Training for Transformation initiative. CPhA is excited to support the Association of Faculties of Pharmacy’s Pharmacist Training for Comprehensive Primary Care (PT4CPC) project, which will provide pharmacists in primary care practice (community pharmacies and clinics) with skills training and resources to enhance medication management and team-based care. CPhA launches IDEA Dialogues series with Indigenous pharmacy panel
On June 19, CPhA and IPPC hosted the first session in the IDEA Dialogues, a new series of empowerment panels designed to highlight the diverse voices of the pharmacy community and to explore Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Affirmation (IDEA) within the pharmacy profession. Moderated by IPPC CEO Amy Lamb, “Understanding the Indigenous experience from both sides of the pharmacy counter” featured a panel of Indigenous pharmacy professionals discussing their experiences within the pharmacy community.
