Sedatives are not first-line therapy for insomnia and cognitive behavioural therapeutics for insomnia is not the same as sleep hygiene. The management of insomnia has been modernized. This session will describe the current best practice for insomnia and introduce resources and tools to support patients transitioning from chronic sedatives use to a brief course in “CTBi” for enduring relief of insomnia.
