Description:

Part of our IDEA Dialogues series, Amplifying voices beyond the month: Black pharmacist perspectives on pathways to equitable health care will provide a thought-provoking conversation about the pivotal role Black pharmacists play in shaping a more equitable health-care system. This session will delve into the health disparities disproportionately impacting Black communities and how these inequities influence patient outcomes. Through personal stories and professional insights, our speakers will discuss the power of representation and advocacy in fostering trust and breaking down barriers in underserved populations. We’ll also explore the role of pharmacists as leaders in promoting culturally competent care and driving systemic change, as well as the importance of mentorship in supporting Black pharmacists to excel and lead in their careers. This dialogue is more than a discussion—it’s a call to action. Join CPhA and the Black Pharmacy Professionals of Canada as we uncover pathways to equitable health care and highlight the voices leading this change.
