PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROJECT AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, REMEDIES, AND OBLIGATIONS.
Introduction to the IPG Mentorship and Integration Project
The IPG Mentorship and Integration Project is managed by the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) and funded in part by Employment and Social Development Canada’s Foreign Credential Recognition program. The Project aims to support unlicensed International Pharmacy Graduates (IPGs) in Canada by providing mentorship, practical experience, and other key integration supports to increase their chances of success at licensure.
Acceptance of Terms
These terms of use (“Terms of Use”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Participant”) and the Canadian Pharmacists Association (“CPhA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing and using the services provided by the IPG Mentorship and Integration Project, including participating in mentorship activities, training sessions, and using any associated tools or platforms (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you must not participate in the Services.
Scope of Services
These Terms of Use apply to all participants, including mentors, mentees, and other stakeholders involved in the IPG Mentorship and Integration Project. The Services include, but are not limited to:
- Large group learning sessions
- Small group engagement sessions
- Virtual mentorship
- Mentored work placements
- IPG integration training
- Employment supports and services offered by our project partner, ACCES Employment
License and Intellectual Property
CPhA grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for the duration of your participation in the IPG Mentorship and Integration Project, subject to these Terms of Use. All content, materials, and intellectual property related to the Services are owned by CPhA. You agree not to reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material provided as part of the Services, except as permitted by these Terms of Use or with prior written permission from CPhA.
Participant Responsibilities
As a participant in the Project, you agree to:
- Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Use
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information as required for participation in the Services.
- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other participants.
- Act in a professional and respectful manner during all interactions within the Services.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy , which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your Personal Information. By participating in the IPG Mentorship and Integration Project, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Termination
CPhA reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, without notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms of Use. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Services and return or destroy any materials related to the Services as directed by CPhA.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. CPhA disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPhA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from (a) your use or inability to use the Services; (b) any conduct or content of any third party within the Services; (c) any content obtained from the Services; or (d) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CPhA, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms of Use or your use of the Services.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Use shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
Changes to Terms of Use
CPhA may revise and update these Terms of Use from time to time at our sole discretion. All changes are effective immediately when we post them. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of revised Terms of Use means that you accept and agree to the changes.
