Resources to help you make your pharmacy a more inclusive space.

Intergenerational trauma, health-care disparities, and racism in all its forms continue to undermine the health of Indigenous patients and their trust in the health care system. As a key entry point to our health system, the pharmacy community has a key role to play in implementing culturally safe, patient-centered care across Canada.  

June is National Indigenous History Month – a time to learn about and celebrate the rich history, cultures and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples, while also recognizing the ongoing trauma and harm experienced by Indigenous peoples and building a path toward reconciliation.

CPhA is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sadaf Faisal as Chief Pharmacist Officer (CPO), a senior leadership role that reflects the evolving scope and impact of pharmacy practice in Canada and will help strengthen the profession’s national voice within the health-care system.

National Immunization Awareness Week (NIAW) is April 26–May 2, 2026—an annual event that highlights and recognizes the importance of immunization.

CPhA has contributed resources to a new preconception health toolkit launched by the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC), now available on PregnancyInfo.ca. The comprehensive resource is designed to support women and gender-diverse individuals in planning for a healthy pregnancy or a healthier life at any stage.
