Pharmacy Health Insurance Steering Coalition holds inaugural meeting

A new collaborative effort, the Pharmacy Health Insurance Steering Coalition (PHISC) met for the first time in January 2014. This new coalition is comprised of senior representatives from the pharmacy sector and the third party payer sector who will come together to discuss issues of common concern and interest. Given the importance of third party payers to pharmacy operations, this group will serve a useful purpose to discuss solutions to such concerns as operational efficiencies, audit procedures and coverage policies for pharmacist-provided services.
