Electronic prescriptions acceptable for storage
July 2014
In response to a request from CPhA and the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores (CACDS), pharmacists can keep prescriptions stored electronically rather than paper copies only, Health Canada has decided. That means pharmacists can spend less time on paperwork and less money on storage space, freeing up resources to focus on their patients.
"Pharmacists will have more time to deliver high quality, accessible care to Canadians," says CPhA's CEO, Perry Eisenschmid.
