A new way to quickly explore drug information in CPS
Finding and navigating drug information in CPS just got easier. Designed as a quick-reference tool, our new Drug Summaries bring together available CPS clinical content for a drug or molecule with a comprehensive listing of products actively marketed in Canada according to Health Canada’s Drug Product Database (DPD).
With Drug Summaries, you can:
- Quickly navigate CPS clinical content: See where a drug appears across CPS therapeutic content and navigate to relevant indications and information.
- Explore what’s marketed in Canada: View available products and formulations, including dosage forms and routes of administration.
- Find other marketed alternatives: If a product or formulation is affected by a drug shortage, quickly see other options marketed in Canada.
- See more results when you search: Drugs with products actively marketed in Canada can now appear in CPS search results with a Drug Summary Page, even when a full CPS monograph isn’t available.
We’ve also updated the CPS search experience, including moving filters to the left side of the page to make it easier to refine your results and find the information you’re looking for.

We’ve launched Drug Summaries as an initial rollout and will continue to refine the content and format. CPS users can share their feedback directly within the page to help us improve the experience over time.
