Content updates
Major updates
The following content has been extensively updated and reviewed by 2 external peer reviewers:
- Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Updates reflect the current understanding of this condition and the importance of validating patients’ experiences and affirming the legitimacy of the disorder; more information on post-exertional malaise; more discussion of symptom management as there remains no definitive pharmacotherapy for this disorder.
- Viral Skin Rashes: New information on the increasing incidence of measles due to inadequate vaccination; additional information on the complications of measles; new section on COVID-19 cutaneous manifestations; several new photos and descriptions of symptoms in skin of colour.

Minor updates
The following content has been reviewed to ensure that it is current:

- Intermittent Claudication: Routine review.
- Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms and Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy: Expanded and clarified descriptions of uroselectivity among alpha1-adrenergic receptor antagonists.
- Vertigo and Dizziness: Routine review.
Drug monographs
The following drug monographs were recently added:
- MenQuadfi (meningococcal (groups A, C, Y, W) polysaccharide tetanus toxoid conjugate vaccine): Active immunizing agent for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease.
- Accrufer (ferric maltol): Iron preparation.
- Pentacel (Haemophilus b conjugate vaccine (tetanus protein-conjugate) reconstituted with diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis vaccine adsorbed combined with inactivated poliomyelitis vaccine): Active immunization against Haemophilus influenzae type b disease, Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis and Poliomyelitis.
