New drug shortage resource: Propranolol Long-Acting Oral Capsules (Inderal®-LA)

All lots of all strengths of Inderal®-LA capsules have been recalled in Canada due to a nitrosamine impurity.

CPhA and medSask have developed a new resource to assist health providers in managing patient care due to the recall of IInderal®-LA. The resource provides general considerations and guidance on how to switch to immediate-release propranolol, other beta-blockers, or therapeutic alternatives.
