Mentor Spotlight
We’re proud to recognize the amazing mentors who are at the heart of the IPG Mentorship and Integration project. These pharmacists share their time, knowledge and experience to support IPGs as they build skills, grow their confidence and work toward licensure in Canada. Their guidance makes a lasting difference in the lives of the IPGs they support and in the future of the profession.
Meet Some of our Standout Mentors

Ayub Chishti
"Mentoring has been especially meaningful in seeing IPGs successfully complete their registration in Canada. Watching them reach that milestone after everything they’ve gone through makes the experience very rewarding."
Meet Ayub

Baseer Yasseen
"I was motivated to become a mentor because I understand the challenges that internationally trained pharmacists face when transitioning into practice in a new country. "
Meet Baseer

David Ross Barclay
"It's rewarding knowing that I can be a part of and invest in the career journey of someone who is involved in healthcare. It's meaningful that they will go on and continue to make a difference in many patients' lives."
Meet David

Fariba Hashemi
"One of the most rewarding parts of being a mentor is helping future generations of pharmacists grow into their profession and feel more confident in themselves and their skills. I especially find fulfillment in working with pharmacists from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who have recently immigrated. My aim is to share knowledge that helps IPGs navigate potential barriers, such as language challenges, cultural differences in care and adjusting to provincial licensure procedures."
Meet Fariba

Gagandeep Kaur
"What makes this mentorship meaningful is watching people go from self-doubt to self-trust. To see the light turn on when someone realizes, “I belong here too.” If I could tell every IPG one thing, it would be this: You’re not starting over — you’re starting stronger."
Meet Gagan

Khamoye Williams
"As a seasoned pharmacist and International Pharmacy Graduate myself, my primary goal as a mentor is to cultivate a culture of excellence by empowering the next generation of pharmacists and helping fellow IPGs successfully transition into Canadian practice"
Meet Khamoye

Monica Micheal
"It’s especially rewarding when participants express how the mentorship positively impacted their confidence and motivation. Witnessing their success brings genuine fulfillment to me as a mentor"
