E-cigarettes presentation to House of Commons
Glen Doucet, Vice President, Advocy & Public Affairs, and Barry Power, consulting pharmacist, appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Health as part of the committee’s hearings into the issue of e-cigarettes. They stressed the role that pharmacists play in smoking cessation, and identified a number of the health-related concerns that e-cigarettes present. CPhA is recommending that e-cigarettes be treated the same as other nicotine products from a regulatory perspective, and also recommending that additional research be conducted to fully understand their health impact.
