February marks Black History Month in Canada, an important time to celebrate and recognize the contributions of Black Canadians and to reflect on Black health in Canada and the anti-Black racism that continues to impact our communities. CPhA responds to conclusion of PrescribeIT service, welcomes opportunity to reset
On February 12, Canada Health Infoway announced the decision to wind-down PrescribeIT as of May 29, 2026, and transition to an open, standards-based approach to e-prescribing in Canada. CPhA welcomes the opportunity to reset e-prescribing with a focus on sustainability and pharmacy-led governance.
