Content updates

Major updates

The following content has been extensively updated and reviewed by 2 external peer reviewers:

  • Acne: Added new patient infographic (French coming soon); expanded information on patient assessment, differential diagnosis, when to refer, and how to monitor; added new table on drug-induced acne; added new section on treatment of acne in skin of colour, and new photos showing acne in skin of colour; added new section on treatment of acne in individuals undergoing gender-affirming therapy; added information on new treatment options.
  • Assessment of Foot Symptoms: Focus on Corns, Calluses, Bunions and Ingrown Toenails: Thoroughly revised and updated, including updated infographics; now includes our algorithm for general assessment of foot symptoms, which will help guide you to other chapters you may need, such as Fungal Nail Infections, Plantar Warts, and Athlete’s Foot; added new graphic demonstrating toe wrapping; added new photo showing a corn on darkly pigmented skin.
  • Hypovolemia: Added new table of drugs that can alter hydration status.

Minor updates

The following content has been reviewed to ensure that it is current:

  • Dosage Adjustment in Renal Impairment: Updated drug list.
