CPhA Executive Director to Retire

Paula MacNeil, President of the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA), has accepted the notice of retirement of Executive Director, Dr. Jeff Poston.

Dr. Poston has given notice that he will retire after the Annual Conference of CPhA, June 4, 2013, being held this year in Prince Edward Island.

“The Association will immediately start the search for the new leadership for the Association,” said President MacNeil. "We are very pleased and fortunate that Dr. Poston has given us ample time to allow for a very smooth transition."

Dr. Poston has served as CPhA Executive Director since 1999. During his tenure, Dr. Poston has led CPhA on the collaboration and development of many initiatives to support the profession including the Blueprint for Pharmacy, support programs to further enhance scope of practice for pharmacy such as ADAPT, and has led CPhA from print publications to the digital era with e-Therapeutics+.

The CPhA Board wishes Jeff all the best in his retirement and thanks him for his years of service to CPhA.
