CPhA at FIP Copenhagen 2025: Looking Ahead to Montreal

CPhA was proud to represent Canada at the FIP Congress 2025 in Copenhagen, joining pharmacy leaders from around the world to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing pharmacy around the world.

The annual Canadian Reception once again brought together delegates from across the country. A packed room, lively conversations, and a strong sense of community highlighted the impact of Canadian pharmacy on the global stage.

CPhA also joined the international pharmacy community in signing the FIP Copenhagen Declaration on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), reaffirming Canada’s commitment to safeguarding the effectiveness of antimicrobials and supporting equitable access to safe treatments worldwide.

Throughout the week, CPhA leadership connected with colleagues and partners from across the globe to discuss shared challenges and opportunities—from the expansion of pharmacy’s scope of practice in different countries to strengthening the role of pharmacy in health systems.

The week concluded with a proud moment for Canada as CPhA Chair Annette Robinson accepted the FIP flag on behalf of Canada. This symbolic handover marks the official countdown to the FIP Congress 2026, when Canada will host the world of pharmacy in Montreal, QC. We look forward to showcasing Canadian pharmacy practice and leadership—and to welcoming our colleagues from around the world.

Looking ahead to Montreal 2026

Next year, Canada will host the 84th FIP World Congress in Montreal under the theme “One Health, One Pharmacy – Bridging science, practice and education.” The congress will explore how pharmacy can drive better health outcomes, strengthen health systems and expand access to care worldwide.
