Canadian Pharmacists Association launches CPS Content Partner Program to power digital health innovation
New initiative enables secure API integration of trusted Canadian drug and therapeutic content into health technology platforms
February 25, 2026 (Ottawa): The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) today announced the launch of the CPS Content Partner Program, a new initiative that opens access to CPS’s trusted clinical drug and therapeutic information through direct integration with health technology solutions.
For decades, CPS has served as the definitive Canadian source of medication and therapeutic content, supporting pharmacists and other health-care professionals in delivering safe, evidence-informed care. The new Content Partner Program enables health technology partners — including electronic medical record (EMR) vendors, pharmacy management systems, clinical decision support tools and emerging AI-enabled health applications — to integrate CPS content seamlessly into their platforms via secure, API-based access.
As digital health tools and virtual care solutions become increasingly embedded in clinical workflows, the need for authoritative, up-to-date Canadian clinical information at the point of care continues to grow. The CPS Content Partner Program helps ensure that health-care professionals using these technologies have seamless access to trusted Canadian drug and therapeutic standards within their existing systems.
“CPS has long been the go-to clinical resource for Canadian health professionals,” said Glen Doucet, CEO, CPhA. “Through our Content Partner Program, we are extending that trusted foundation into the next generation of health-care technology — supporting innovation while reinforcing consistent, high-quality clinical standards.”
The program offers flexible partnership models tailored to organizations at different stages of growth, from emerging health-tech innovators to established enterprise vendors. Partners gain access to comprehensive Canadian drug and therapeutic content through well-documented APIs, enabling efficient and secure integration.
By combining CPS’s established clinical authority with modern interoperability, the program is designed to enhance patient safety, support consistent standards of care and empower innovators who are building the next generation of Canadian health technologies.
