Senior Project Coordinator

The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is actively recruiting for a Senior Project Coordinator to join our Public & Professional Affairs department on a contract to March 2028.

We are a fully remote workforce and are looking for someone who is able to be fully productive, efficient and effective in a remote environment.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will play a key supporting role in the successful execution of a national collaborative project which aims to strengthen pharmacists’ ability to recognize, respond to and help mitigate the health impacts of climate-sensitive infectious diseases. The project has a particular focus on populations disproportionately affected by climate change — especially those living in remote and under-resourced areas, including First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities.

Duties and Tasks

  • Oversees and tracks project deliverables to ensure they are completed on time and within budget, in accordance with agreements and contractual requirements.
  • Works collaboratively with the Project Lead to plan and execute project activities.
  • Develops and/or adapts project management processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Analyzes project progress and provides recommendations to address challenges, including adjustments to budgets and timelines as needed.
  • Establishes and implements measures to monitor, evaluate, and maintain project schedules.
  • Prepares project progress reports for funders and partners.
  • Maintains accurate and organized project records and documentation.
  • Develops communications materials related to the project and collaborates across departments to design and implement a communications plan to promote project deliverables.
  • Manages financial aspects of the project, including budgeting, accounting, cash flow monitoring, and preparation of financial reports.

Qualifications

Education

Post secondary education in health administration or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of two years of project management experienc.e
  • Demonstrated working experience with Indigenous communities.
  • Experience in the public health care sector and infectious diseases is desirable.

Skills

  • Excellent research, analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communications (verbal and writing) and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian health care system.
  • Ability to display a commitment to and advocate for diversity and inclusion.

Salary Range

  • $63,400
