The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is actively recruiting for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our Corporate Services department.
We are a fully remote workforce and are looking for someone who is able to be fully productive, efficient and effective in a remote environment.
Job Summary
The Senior Graphic Designer is a creative leader responsible for elevating CPhA’s visual identity across all channels. This role combines hands-on design expertise with strategic thinking to deliver engaging, accessible, and brand-forward visuals that support key organizational initiatives, including promoting the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties (CPS), the leading digital clinical support resource for healthcare professionals (HCPs) in Canada; professional education; corporate communications; events; advocacy; and partner programs.
As the Senior Graphic Designer, you will collaborate closely with the Marketing & Communications teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to create compelling design solutions that strengthen the CPhA brand, enhance our programs and campaigns, and resonate across the pharmacist and broader healthcare provider community.
Duties and Tasks
The Senior graphic Designer is responsible for, but not limited to:
Creative & Design Execution
- Leading the design and production of digital assets (web graphics, social media content, email visuals, digital ads, UI/UX design elements) and print materials (reports, infographics, collateral materials, posters, and event materials).
- Translating complex healthcare and drug information into clear, accessible visual formats.
- Maintaining and evolving the CPhA and CPS brand standards; ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
- Developing creative concepts and visual treatments for campaigns, events, product launches, and awareness initiatives.
Brand Leadership
- Serving as a brand ambassador, guiding teams in proper brand application.
- Ensuring all design work aligns with organizational goals, accessibility standards (AODA), and industry best practices.
Collaboration & Project Management
- Working closely with Marketing, Product, Education, Advocacy, and Corporate teams to meet business needs.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and quality expectations are met.
- Coordinating with external agencies, freelancers, and printers.
Digital & Technical Expertise
- Staying current with design trends, accessibility standards, and tools relevant to healthcare, education, and software environments.
- Contributing to UX/UI discussions for websites, landing pages, and product interfaces.
- Preparing production-ready files and ensure quality across digital and print outputs.
Qualifications
Education
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
- A diploma or certificate from a recognized design program is an asset
- Additional training in UI/UX, digital design, accessibility (AODA/WCAG), or motion graphics is an asset
- Commitment to ongoing learning and staying current with design tools and trends
Experience
- Demonstrated mid-to-senior level professional graphic design experience, preferably in healthcare, education, technology, publishing, or a similar content-rich environment.
- Portfolio showcasing strength in diverse design projects across digital and print formats.
- Experience designing for accessibility (AODA/WCAG compliance).
- Experience working with bilingual (English/French) content is an asset.

- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD/Figma), MS Office, and digital content creation tools.
- Excellent communication, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management abilities and comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to display a commitment to and advocate for diversity and inclusion
Salary Range
- $55 - $70,000
