Digital & Data Analyst

The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is actively recruiting for a Digital & Data Analyst to join our Digital Solutions department. Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence & Analytics, this role will serve as the primary analytics subject matter expert for the Association’s core digital product, Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties (CPS), ensuring the delivery of consistent, trusted insights across teams.

We are a fully remote workforce and are looking for someone who is able to be fully productive, efficient and effective in a remote environment.

Job Summary

The Digital & Data Analyst will support CPhA’s analytics and reporting initiatives; transform complex digital and business data into actionable insights by contributing to the design, implementation, and management of data collection strategies for CPS and other key initiatives across the Association. The role involves writing queries, performing data analysis, and developing insightful reports and interactive dashboards that integrate multiple data sources.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise, including proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and business intelligence tools, along with hands-on experience using Google Cloud Platform, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and BigQuery. This role is also responsible for ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and will be collaborating with stakeholders across the Association to continuously improving data collection, analytics, and reporting processes.

Duties and Tasks

The Digital & Data Analyst is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Data Collection & Integration: Implementing and managing data collection strategies using Google tools. Integrating data from multiple sources using ETL best practices to ensure data readiness, accuracy and consistency.
  • Querying & Analysis: Writing complex queries to extract and analyze large datasets. Identifying trends and insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Building, maintaining, and enhancing stakeholder dashboards and reports using BI tools (Tableau, Looker Studio, Power BI). Presenting KPIs and insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting regular data quality checks, implementing cleaning strategies and ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Working with team members and stakeholders to understand objectives and developing recommendations. Cooperating with the development team to test and deploy analytics enhancements. Participating in Agile workflows. Serving as SME and data steward for CPhA’s digital product, CPS.
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying current on analytics trends and proposing improvements to data collection, analysis, pipelines, and reporting processes.

Qualifications

Education

Post-secondary education in Data Science, Digital Analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Skills and Experience

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, R; Google Cloud Platform, GA4, Tag Manager, BigQuery; BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio); ETL processes; Microsoft Suite with advanced Excel; Salesforce CRM; campaign measurement strategies (UTM, SEO, paid ads). Experience with machine learning, predictive modelling and APIs are assets. Familiarity with Jira an asset.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving with a collaborative approach, attention to detail, and ability to explain complex findings clearly. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Soft Skills: Strong business acumen, an inquisitive and analytical mindset with the ability to build trust through reliable data insights.
  • Ability to display a commitment to and advocate for diversity and inclusion

Salary Range

$55 - $70,000
