Direct Oral AntiCoagulants: What's New & Important and What's Old & Important: Practical Implications for Pharmacists
Initial outcome data pertaining to Direct Oral AntiCoagulants (DOACs) emerged almost a decade ago. Since then, these agents have become commonly used agents in the management of patients with and at risk of thromboembolic disorders. Though evidence pertaining to their benefit/risk ratio is convincing, optimizing their use is essential to ensuring best outcomes. Pharmacists play a key role in ensuring best outcomes. This session will focus on both the evidence and the opportunity for pharmacist to ensure best patient outcomes.
