Sharing your front-line experiences helps us ensure that the work we’re doing is meaningful and relevant to you and your practice. Here are a few ways you can get involved in our work:
Pharmacy Virtual Advisory Team (PVAT): We are inviting front-line pharmacists across Canada to join our Pharmacy Virtual Advisory Team! Share your front-line pharmacy experiences to help us bring timely and ongoing feedback on the realities of pharmacy practice to governments and other stakeholders, and to support our strategic initiatives. Initially focused on providing information regarding current drug shortage situations, this group will also be asked to provide feedback on a range of other relevant topics as they arise. Meet your MP with CPhA: Federal Members of Parliament want to hear directly from the pharmacists in their communities. CPhA is seeking pharmacists from across Canada to express interest in joining our government relations team in meetings with MPs. Participants will share their frontline experiences, help shape health policy and elevate the role of pharmacy in federal decision-making. No advocacy experience is needed, just a passion for the profession! CPhA leads MP outreach and meeting coordination and, if a meeting opportunity with your MP becomes available, we will prepare and support you throughout the process. Conversations take place virtually and may include issues such as drug shortages, pharmacists’ scope of practice and workforce challenges affecting patient care across Canada.
