Pharmacist, Project Lead – Sexual and Reproductive Health Initiative (1-year contract)

The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is actively recruiting for a Pharmacist, Project Lead – Sexual and Reproductive Health Initiative on a 1-year contact to join our Public & Professional Affairs department.
We are a fully remote workforce and are looking for someone who is able to be fully productive, efficient and effective in a remote environment.
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have an interest in advancing sexual and reproductive health and increasing access to contraception and abortion for underrepresented, and BIPOC communities. In this role, the incumbent will work as part of a broader professional affairs team to develop tools and resources to help inform community pharmacy practice in this critical area.
Duties and Tasks
- Create a work plan to achieve pre-established Grant objectives.
- Work with subject matter experts to integrate best practices and evidence into the development of tools and resources to support pharmacy practice.
- Work across departments to create and implement a communications plan for the promotion of the deliverables.
- Provide reporting as required to funding partners on progress of the initiative.
- Identify solutions or recommendations to address barriers faced by pharmacists to practice in this area (e.g. scope, lack of funding, etc)
- Manage the project budget
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Certificate in project management is desirable
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in a Canadian Jurisdiction, and in good standing
Experience
- Recent front-line experience as a pharmacist within a Canadian jurisdiction
Skills
- A strong understanding and experience in pharmacy practice, especially as it relates to expanded scope
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Project management skills.
- Self-direction and ability to work collaboratively internally and externally to achieve project objectives.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to display a commitment to and advocate for diversity and inclusion
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
