Managing Editor, French Content

Reports to: Editor-in-Chief
Job Summary
The Managing Editor, French Content is responsible for ensuring the timely translation and accuracy and consistency of the French version of therapeutic and drug content developed in English.
Duties and Tasks
- Develops and maintains systems to ensure efficient translation and editorial processing of content
- Oversees development of consistent style standards and a lexicon of preferred terms
- Maintains the French version of content developed in English for CPS Full Access (formerly CPS, Compendium of Therapeutic Choices, Compendium of Therapeutics for Minor Ailments, and Compendium of Products for Minor Ailments)
- Works with team of editors to harmonize French and English content
- Tasks include translation, validation of translation by others, review and approval of final versions, establishing priorities for translation and processing of content

External: Translators and revisors, physician and pharmacist authors, expert reviewers
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy, pharmacist licensed in a Canadian province, certification from a provincial or territorial association of translators preferred
Experience: At least 3 years of clinical and/or drug information experience, at least 3 years of medical translation experience, supervisory or management experience preferred
Skills
- Excellent written language skills in French and English
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to research and evaluate medical and scientific information
- Awareness of current clinical practice issues, understanding of drug and therapeutic information in clinical practice
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills
- Ability to supervise a small team meeting accuracy and deadline requirements
- Ability to display a commitment to and advocate for diversity and inclusion
Salary Range
- $105,000 – $110,000
