CPhA Login FAQ's Section

Current CPhA Members:

Click on the "My Profile" button, then select Full Profile and proceed to modify your personal information. You can also update/renew your membership and change your username and password from the "My Profile" screen.

  1. If I am currently a CPhA Member but do not know my username and password, what should I do?

    You have four options:

    1. If you have previously logged into the CPhA site and have forgotten your username or password, click on the "Forgot your password or username?" link on the homepage (or click here) and complete the form. We will email your username and password to you.

    2. If you are logging into the CPhA site for the first time, refer to your CPhA Membership Card. Your login info is preset based on your "constit ID" or membership number. Your username is actually your "constit ID" or membership number and can be found on your CPhA Membership Card. Your password is the first three letters of your last name (case sensitive) plus your "constit ID" or membership number; see examples below:

      If your membership number is 0012345 and your last name is Smith:

      • your username is 0012345
      • your password is Smi0012345 (not smi0012345 or SMI0012345) - note that the first letter is capitalized, the next two letters are not

      If your membership number is 0022345 and your last name is McDonald:

      • your username is 0022345
      • your password is McD0022345 (not mcd0022345 or MCD0022345) - note that the first and third letters are capitalized, the second letter is not

  2. Can I change my username and password to something that is easier to remember?

    The first time you log in as a CPhA Member you need to use your preset login information as described above. When you log in the first time you are automatically taken to the "My Profile" area and prompted to immediately change your username and password.

  3. How do I change my user information (Full Profile)?

    Once you are logged in you can access the "My Profile" area at anytime. The "My Profile" button is always located at the top-left corner of your screen.

  4. If I am currently a CPhA Member and want to buy something in the Store or register online for an Event or Conference, do I need to register again for a separate username and password?

    Once you have your CPhA Member login information, you have full access to all of the features available on this site. This means you do not need to register ever again. Your CPhA Member username and password identifies you as a user of the site without restriction. If you want to purchase something from the Store or register online for an Event or Conference, all you need to do is log in with your usual username and password upon entering the site.

  5. How do I log out?

    There are two ways to log out of the site (for security purposes):

    1. Click the Logout button that appears in the top-left corner of your screen. The Logout button is visible at all times when you are logged in.
    2. Close your browser window.
  6. If I am a CPhA Member, already logged in, and I go to view the public areas of the site, do I need to log back in to the CPhA Members area?

    No. Once you are logged in you do not need to log in again unless you log out or close your browser window.

  7. If I "send a page to a friend" or colleague from the CPhA Members area of the site, will they be able to view that page?

    If your friend is a CPhA Member, they will be able to view the page. When they click on the link provided in the e-mail two things can happen:

    1. If they are already logged in, they will be taken directly to the page you referred them to.
    2. If they are not logged in but have a username and password, they will be brought to a login page where they can enter their login information.

    If your friend is not a CPhA Member, they will not be able to view a page in the CPhA Members section of the site.

  8. I tried to view a page in the Members area but was presented with the "Member Login" screen. I had already logged in. What does this mean?

    For security reasons, if you are logged in and have not actively browsed within the site for more than 60 minutes, you are automatically logged out. Perhaps you started to navigate through the site, became distracted and left your desk for a period of time. This Timed Out function ensures that another user cannot purchase Store items or register for a Conference under your username and password. All you have to do is log back in.

Non-CPhA Members interested in one of the following:

  • purchasing items from the Store
  • signing up for CPhA Events and Conferences
  • becoming a CPhA Member
  1. If I just want to purchase something in the Store or register for an Event or Conference, do I need to become a CPhA Member?

    You can browse around the Store without registering for a username and password, however if you would like to make an online purchase, you need to become a registered user. As well, you can view any Events or Conferences that CPhA may be promoting, but you cannot register and make online payments for the events until you are a registered user. Once registered with a username and password of your choice, you will not need to register again.

    Please note that being a registered user is separate from a being a CPhA Member. You won't receive access to the CPhA Members section of the site unless you apply for a full CPhA Membership.

  2. How do I change my user information (Full Profile)?

    You can update your information by logging in to the site as a registered user. Each time you log in as a registered user you are automatically taken to the "My Profile" area, which provides an option to change your user information. Simply select Full Profile and proceed to modify your personal information.

    Login points are available in the following areas:

    During future visits, as long as you are logged in as a registered user you can access the "My Profile" area at anytime. The "My Profile" button is always located at the top-left corner of your screen.

  3. I already have a username and password, but cannot access the CPhA Members area. Why is that?

    As a registered user of the site, you have access to make purchases in the Store, and to register for and make online payments for Events and Conferences that you wish to attend. But if you have not applied for a full CPhA Membership, you won't have access to the CPhA Members area. Click here to learn more about the other benefits you receive when you become a CPhA Member.

  4. If I am not a CPhA Member but am registered to use the Store and the Events and Conference Registration areas, and I've already been to the site before, can I log in right from the homepage?

    Yes you can. Once you log in from the homepage you automatically land at the "My Profile" area, where you can make updates to your user information. The "My Profile" page also contains a link to either the Store or the Events and Conferences area, depending on the area you registered from.

  5. How do I log out?

    There are two ways to log out of the site (for security purposes):

    1. Click the Logout button that appears in the top-left corner of your screen. The Logout button is visible at all times when you are logged in.
    2. Close your browser window.
  6. How do I become a CPhA Member?

    There are two steps to becoming a CPhA Member. First you need to become a registered user. Then you can apply for a CPhA Membership.

    • From the homepage simply select the Register Now! area.
    • The first screen asks you to enter some personal information and the second allows you to create a username and password.
    • Once you have completed these steps, the next page gives you the option to sign up for a CPhA Membership.

    If you are already a registered user but elected at time of sign up not to continue with a CPhA Membership, you can still apply for a CPhA Membership at a later time.

    • Log in from the homepage as a registered user, using your username and password.
    • Once you log in you are automatically taken to the "My Profile" area.
    • Select Membership Information.
    • The Membership Information page contains a link titled Become a CPhA Member. Simply click on this link to sign up and become a CPhA Member.
  7. I tried to view a page in the Members area but was presented with the "Member Login" screen. I had already logged in. What does this mean?
