Advocacy & Government Relations Initiatives
CPhA is your voice with government and other external stakeholders. Our efforts ensure that pharmacists can influence policies, programs, budgets and initiatives that are of concern and interest to you. We often work in partnership with provincial pharmacy associations to support government relations and advocacy efforts.
Most recently we have been working with government and stakeholders to help address the growing issue of drug shortages across Canada. We're vocal about cuts to refugee benefits and we're involved with developing electronic health records. Independently and cooperatively with other health care organizations we're also involved with the Council of the Federation. To help pharmacists deliver expanded patient-centred pharmacy services we've been developing the Canadian Pharmacy Services Framework.
