CFPC and CPhA Launch e-Therapeutic Highlights as Mainpro CME Credits for the College (January 2010)
e-Therapeutics (e-T) Highlights containing updated content from the often-used reference Therapeutic Choices will now be available to all members of the CFPC. These weekly email bulletin, produced by CPhA's expert editors, are designed to disseminate timely, relevant updates of clinical information from a family practice perspective.
e-T Highlights emails include recent advances or current items of interest that affect how physicians treat their patients. The Highlights are gathered from the content of e-Therapeutics+, a Canadian primary care reference written, updated and reviewed by Canadian expert physicians and pharmacists. Based on the best available evidence, e-Therapeutics+ is subject to a rigorous peer review process.
"We're very excited about this new partnership with the Canadian Pharmacists Association," said Dr. Bernard Marlow, director of continuing professional development with the CFPC. "e-T Highlights will deliver practical, evidence-based therapeutic information for doctors directly to their inbox. Our members have found this an excellent way to keep up to date on new diagnostic information. And, by using a reflective impact assessment tool, they can earn Mainpro M1 credits as they learn."
