- Arthritis Pain Diary A resource to help patients with arthritis pinpoint and describe their pain for discussions with pharmacists and other health care professionals.
- Breastfeeding CPhA has gathered a number of links to provide pharmacists with information and resources related to breastfeeding.
- Diabetes National Diabetes Strategy for Pharmacists (en français).
- Drug Shortages - A Guide for Patient Assessment and Management (PDF) Whether it is a drug shortage due to a manufacturing problem or a national disaster, the pharmacist and physician will be called upon to use expertise to help solve the dilemma. This Guide is intended to be used to effectively manage drug shortages and to ensure continued quality drug therapy.
- Hypertension Resources Hypertension is a leading risk factor for death and disability in Canada. CPhA has compiled a number of resources related to the management and treatment of hypertension and information on World Hypertension Day (May 17, 2008).
- Influenza Immunization With the flu season just around the corner, it's time to get your high-risk patients immunized against influenza. This year, the Canadian Pharmacists Association, in collaboration with the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores and the Canadian Coalition for Immunization Awareness & Promotion, is proud to present the 2008 Influenza Immunization Guide—a step-by-step guide that allows pharmacists to initiate immunization programs in their communities (en français).
- Kids and Medicine A program for pharmacists to promote the safe use of medicine to Canadian school children (en français).
- Pandemic Resources CPhA has assembled a pandemic communications guide for pharmacists. The guide contains links to federal and provincial information plus additional tools and templates for use in your pharmacy (en français).
- PharmaCheck (formerly "Just Checking")...Am I Getting the Most From My Medication? PharmaCheck is a practice tool developed with older adults in mind to quickly identify and resolve common medication issues. Flexible and easy to use in a busy pharmacy. - Pictogram application (ZIP): Developed by the Military and Emergency Pharmacy Section of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), this application allows the user to print pictorial directions for label medications for patients who cannot read or who are unable to read English or French. - Practical Diabetes Management for Pharmacists This program will assist the pharmacist in providing optimal care for people affected with diabetes.
- Smoking Cessation Pharmacists are the most accessible health care professional and are ideally positioned to talk to patients about smoking cessation. Learn more about educating your patients or register for QUIT: Quit Using and Inhaling Tobacco, an online training program for pharmacists who want to help their clients quit smoking. (en français).
- Safe Medicines for Seniors: A Guide for Caregivers Developed by CPhA in conjunction with VON Canada and the Canadian Healthcare Association/Canadian Association for Community Care, this guide will help a caregiver spot problems with the person for whom they provide care (en français).
- Seamless Care - A Pharmacist's Guide to Continuous Care Programs This resource guide provides hospital and community pharmacists with strategies, case examples and practical tools to assist them in implementing and evaluating seamless care programs in their practice settings.
