The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is a leader in developing advocacy materials and campaigns that help pharmacists talk to their patients about the services they offer.
CPhA has developed patient-friendly tools that pharmacists can use to raise awareness about their important role in patient health, these include: patient education leaflets and pamphlets on various diseases and conditions. CPhA has also created a special information section geared towards educating children on the role of the pharmacist in their lives.
Pharmacists are encouraged to use these tools in their daily practice to educate patients on their commitment to the Vision for Pharmacy: optimal drug therapy outcomes for Canadians through patient-centred care as well as to include them when planning their events during Pharmacist Awareness Week, which is held each year during the first full week of March.
