Continuing Education Centre: Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP)
The Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP) is the national co-ordinating and accrediting body for continuing pharmacy education in Canada. Its members are appointed by the provincial pharmacy regulatory organizations. CCCEP members also include representatives from CPhA and several other national pharmacy organizations.
CCCEP is dedicated to the advancement of learning by pharmacists in Canada and maintains that lifelong learning is necessary to enable optimal patient care. As a result, CCCEP strives to coordinate activities aimed at understanding, developing, implementing and evaluating learning.
As part of its policy role, CCCEP develops and maintains guidelines for the provision of continuing education programming. In order to promote efficient and effective learning, CCCEP also provides services to its members to enable co-ordination of resources, program approval and program evaluation.
