Active
Monthly Fee = $27.50 (plus applicable tax)

Or Full Payment
$330.00 + $16.50 (GST) = $346.50
$330.00 + $42.90 (HST) = $372.90

Definition: An individual licensed to practice pharmacy in a province or territory of Canada and/or holding a professional degree in pharmacy from a school of pharmacy recognized by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada. Active members are eligible to vote and may be officers of the Association.

Spousal
Monthly Fee = $16.50 (plus applicable tax)

Or Full Payment
$198.00 + $9.90 (GST) = $207.90
$198.00+ $25.74 (HST) = $223.74

Definition:

  • A practising pharmacist whose spouse is a CPhA member can receive his or her membership fee at 40 per cent off the regular membership rate.
  • One rather than two copies of the CPS, and Canadian Pharmaceutical Journal will be sent to the couple's mailing address.
  • Both parties retain the right to vote on any membership issues.

(The term 'spouse' is defined as per the Income Tax Act.)

Supporting
Monthly Fee = $27.50 (plus applicable tax)

Definition: An individual or unincorporated association that supports the goals and objectives of the Association but does not qualify for other membership categories. Supporting members are eligible for all member discounts and receive all member communications but are not eligible to vote.

Student Pharmacist (Undergraduate and Graduate)
No cost.

Undergraduate definition: An undergraduate student enrolled in a school, faculty or college of pharmacy in Canada that confers academic qualifications, the completion of which is a prerequisite for the practice of pharmacy in a province or territory of Canada.

Graduate definition: A graduate student member is an individual qualified to be an active member of the Association and is currently enrolled in full-time graduate studies, a pharmacy residency program or has been enrolled in a program recognized by CPhA for international pharmacy graduates during his/her membership year.

New Practitioner

Recent Graduate - Grad Year 2009
Monthly Fee = $9.17 (plus applicable tax)

Or Full Payment
$110.00 + $5.50 (GST) = $115.50
$110.00 + $14.30 (HST) = $124.30

Recent Graduate - Grad Year 2008
Monthly Fee = $18.33 (plus applicable tax)

Or Full Payment
$220.00 + $11.00 (GST) = $231.00
$220.00 + $28.60 (HST) = $248.60

Definition: An individual in the first or second year of pharmacy practice since graduating from a school of pharmacy recognized by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada. New pharmacists are eligible to vote and may be officers of the Association.

Corporate
$2,200 + $110.00 (GST) = $2,310.00
$2,200 + $286.00 (HST) = $2,486.00
(Monthly payment plan not available)

Definition: Corporate members support the goals and objectives of the Association, and are eligible for three individual memberships.

American Pharmacists Association (APhA)
$139.00 CDN
